Kevita, Inc.
After testing products from Kevita, Inc., we found seven products we allege to be in violation of Proposition 65 in regards to lead and mercury contamination. Below is the timeline of events of the case between ERC and Kevita, Inc.
NOTICE
On March 9, 2023, Environmental Research Center filed a Notice of Violation of California Law Proposition 65, against Kevita, Inc.
In this action, ERC alleges that three specific products manufactured, distributed, or sold by Kevita, Inc., contain lead and mercury, chemicals listed under Proposition 65 as carcinogens and reproductive toxins, and expose consumers to levels requiring a Proposition 65 warning.
The products under investigation are:
1. Kevita Bold + Smooth Kombucha Master Brew Tart Cherry
2. Kevita Probiotic Refresher Sparkling Drink Lemon Ginger
3. Kevita Apple Cider Vinegar Tonic Turmeric Ginger
NOTICE II
On March 16, 2023, Environmental Research Center filed a Notice of Violation of California Law Proposition 65, against Kevita, Inc.
In this action, ERC alleges that four specific products manufactured, distributed, or sold by Kevita, Inc., contain lead and mercury, chemicals listed under Proposition 65 as carcinogens and reproductive toxins, and expose consumers to levels requiring a Proposition 65 warning.
