After testing products from Big Spoon Roasters LLC, we found six products we allege to violate Proposition 65 regarding heavy metal contamination. Below is the timeline of events of the case between ERC and Big Spoon Roasters LLC.

NOTICE I

On December 18, 2024, the Environmental Research Center filed a Notice of Violation of California Law Proposition 65, against Big Spoon.

In this action, ERC alleges that 6 specific products, manufactured, distributed, or sold by Big Spoon, contain lead, a chemical listed under Proposition 65 as a carcinogen and reproductive toxin, and expose consumers to levels requiring a Proposition 65 warning. 

The products under investigation are:

2. Big Spoon Roasters Cranberry Cashew Peanut Butter Bar - Lead

3. Big Spoon Roasters Figgy Chai Peanut Butter Bar - Lead

4. Big Spoon Roasters Cherry Chocolate Peanut Butter Bar - Lead

5. Big Spoon Roasters Apple Ginger Almond Butter Bar - Lead

6. Big Spoon Roasters Apricot Pepita Peanut Butter Bar - Lead
