After testing products from Big Spoon Roasters LLC, we found 6 products we allege to violate Proposition 65 regarding heavy metal contamination. Below is the timeline of events of the case between ERC and Big Spoon Roasters LLC.

NOTICE I

On December 18, 2024, the Environmental Research Center filed a Notice of Violation of California Law Proposition 65, against Big Spoon.

In this action, ERC alleges that 6 specific products, manufactured, distributed, or sold by Big Spoon, contain lead, a chemical listed under Proposition 65 as a carcinogen and reproductive toxin, and expose consumers to levels requiring a Proposition 65 warning. 

The products under investigation are:

2. Big Spoon Roasters Cranberry Cashew Peanut Butter Bar - Lead

3. Big Spoon Roasters Figgy Chai Peanut Butter Bar - Lead

4. Big Spoon Roasters Cherry Chocolate Peanut Butter Bar - Lead

5. Big Spoon Roasters Apple Ginger Almond Butter Bar - Lead
